Our local restaurant supply store had a guessing game on their Facebook page. I won the guess, and consequently this gratin baking dish. Enameled cast iron. It's cute as a button and small, just 7" across. Any ideas what I can do with it? I'm thinking of baking small rolls in it, a meatloaf.

I agree, cute as a button! Le Creuset has made a BIG name for themselves with enameled iron(looks just like it). Sausage links or an omelette fits in a 7"pan. Enjoy!

Congratulations, jasdip! Nice win! Sounds like it would be a perfect size when you're cooking for just two. I have a great recipe for a sweet potato casserole that might be perfect for that. Scalloped potatoes (& ham). Agree on omelette or fritatta... and definitely one of those puffy German pancakes... with apples! :) Now I'm getting hungry.

I have several of the enamel cast iron pots and pans, they cook so well, but are so heavy I can only use them when my husband is around to help. I find I make the absolute best roast in the oven in my big enamel roaster, made one last night. I would love one that size it's a good size. I just got a 2.5 size last weekend.
