Comments (38)I just got a HOSP trap. Forgive the newbie here. It has traps on both sides with a holding compartment in the center. Unfortunately I got it too late. I had my first bluebird pair just building their nest (I put up a pair of boxes last year). The nest wasn't even completed and I found the female bb dead this morning. I'm assuming it was the male HOSP that has been hanging around harrassing them. I don't even know if he has a mate. I have also seen a starling. They have no interest in that house except when the bb's are there. Anyway, the trap will go out as soon as I can get myself organized. I am planning on getting CO2. Is that a good idea? I have to get moving on this. I also have a purple martin house that I'll be opening soon....See MoreHow to turn this Santa FE house into a cozy home?
Comments (23)Yes, Fori, rugs and a cat :-). Lynn, I love you home and think it is very inviting and cozy-looking. I'm looking for that look and feel. It is out there - maybe someone is going to move to be near their grandkids - a win-win for everyone :-D. Ida, you and Lynn are both right on with your perspectives. Some homes here are all about the view and others seem to be creating a cozy shelter from the elements with outdoor living areas to enjoy. There seems to be a contemporary trend in a lot of the new homes being built....See MoreLiving Room not yet cozy and homely
Comments (23)"Sorry" to say, another rug could be better, for inviting feel. How large is you rug? could it fill the same area, about to the back wall? Idk if good in person, but I like that it's not a perfectly uniform gray, and might have wall color in it....See MoreALL IDEAS WELCOMED for our new home, in dire need of a refresh
Comments (9)I think always best to eave the exterior until all the interior changes have been made and in this case also the addition. Often interior changes move or change windows for instance . I loive this type of look with brick it is perfect compliment to the red and if you like that cottage look the trim and siding all the same is a very nice look. I do agree the addition needs to be designed to look like it has always been part of the original so an architect can help with that and would be IMO worth the money. In the photo notice the garage door style too I do not like that mix of brick and stone so maybe trade the stone for either match brick or siding when you get to the exterior . Please come back with the addition plans and that will help us help you....See More- 10 years ago
