"I checked the power level and it's getting between 75 to 123 volts. " What type of bulb? Was the voltage measured with the bulb installed? Volt meters are easily confused by the waveforms most electronic switches (like a typical "dusk til dawn" controls. Even when off a volt meter may be able to measure almost full voltage, or just about anything down to zero.

The light sensor is usually located on the front of the light housing between two lights or underneath (or on top of) a single light. The sensor is covered by a round quarter-sized disc. The disc usually has a rough edge to facilitate unscrewing (lefty=loosie, righty=tighty). I didn't shut off the electricity to remove the clear plastic/glass disc, cleaning it and replacing it. If your light doesn't conform to this description, then submit a photo if you can. Alternatively, you might want to web browse the manufacturer's site for instructions.

I don't like the look of a lot of the fixtures with photocells made into them, so DH went to one of the big box stores (Lowe's, I think), and purchased screw-in adaptors for our garage lights. The adaptors make the lights come on at dusk, and are adjustable so the lights go off after a certain number of hours. We don't need lights on all night, so typical dusk to dawn adaptors seemed wasteful to me. I didn't know the type of adaptors we ended up even existed, but we like them very much. Ours are set right now so that the lights stay on until around 1:00, after the teenagers are home. Come summer, and much later sunsets, we can easily shorten the number of hours they'll burn. I don't think the adaptors cost very much, and they let me get the feature that I wanted in the fixtures that I really wanted.

I also have a Dusk to dawn sodium vapor light that is above my garage. I replaced the lightbulb already and I replaced the sensor with a programmable sensor made by defiant and all of it was easy to do. I even replaced the circuit breaker inside the electric panel because I thought it was popping it, however the light still does not come on. I can hear something inside the housing for the light fixture as if it's turning on but the bulb does not light up so I'm at a loss and I think I'm just going to go buy a whole new light and install it unless somebody knows of a possible explanation thanks.
