Comments (4)Yes the bloom will likely fall off which is just as well. When growing in containers, long term, you should plan on replacing the growing mix. How often will depend on the mix you are using. The organic material in the mix will begin breaking down as soon as you start using it. The longest lasting organic in the mix is usually fir bark, but this should be carefully sized to match the other ingredients. For this purpose I prefer to make the gritty mix which will last the longest. What ever mix you use read the list of ingredients and make a note of when the mix will need to be replaced. In California citrus labeled fertilizer is available everywhere and should be used monthly for container citrus. A three foot high tree would benefit from about a tablespoon of most brands of citrus fertilizer. Al...See MoreMeyer Lemon tree dead? :( Please help
Comments (7)Oh boy. First off, let it stay outside. It is just a twig right now, and I cannot tell if it is dying from the roots upward. I see the branch/trunk is still green at the top, but cannot tell if you have a viable trunk below. You need to fertilize container citrus regularly. Most container folks here on the forum fertilize with Dyna Pro's Foliage Pro with every watering. Check the roots to make sure they are not dead or root bound. If they're root bound, pot up into a larger pot, and use a well draining potting mix or potting mix recipe (you can search the forum for "511" or "gritty mix" for both recipes). Sun, fertilizer and the right amount of water will be what will save this little tree if it is savable. Patty S....See MorePlease help, Meyer Lemon Tree Disease??
Comments (3)Both "problems" are mechanical or physical damage. I don't know what caused the punctures to the yellow fruit; but those punctures are the reason it has turned yellow. If you stab your fruit with a needle, it will turn yellow even before the fruit is fully mature; I have done that in experiments to try to encourage early coloring... it does promote coloring; but not ripening; and it does leave scars....See MoreMeyer Lemon Tree (dwarf) help please!
Comments (6)That is the very reason I feel so confined to my home until it's time to put all mine outside and hire someone or use a family member to hose them down when ever they want....I don't trust anyone watering mine for that long...I am sorry you lost it and then again you could always start a new) God, just don't let any of the workers from 4Winds see that poor thing, they might have a cry over it..I am sure it once looked spectacular!...See Moremyermike_1micha
