Need a large sectional sofa with queen sleeper and corner wedge
Comments (5)I had checked out their website already and it sounds good. I just want to make sure that it's a quality product and not one of those "you get what you pay for" things. Have you gotten your sofa yet and are you happy with it? What about the quality of the fabric and the feel of the cushions? I want a sofa that is pretty cushy and I was going to upgrade to the down option. Please let me know your impressions - it would be really helpful. I was also researching a sofa from Carolinachair.com. They seem to have a little bit better quality and better fabric choices, but the sofa I want is also about $2,000 more and I don't know that it's worth spending the extra money. Any input is appreciated....See MoreQuality sectional/sofa - brands to try?
Comments (12)After much debate between Century, Taylor King and Vanguard, we ended up with the Vanguard Envision. The deciding factors were mainly size and arm style, although comfort and fabric options also played a role. All three were nice to sit on but we preferred the sloped track arm that only Vanguard offered. The Century would have been our next choice but it was much larger, about 10" in each direction, and we felt it might overwhelm our space. We ordered it from Lexington Furniture, who beat local prices by over $1000. Total cost in a Grade 26 fabric (no decorative upgrades) was $5500. It arrived yesterday and we LOVE IT. Just need to repaint the room and get a new rug! :)...See Morewhat is reasonable pricing for a quality sectional sofa?
Comments (10)IdaClaire I don't want to see businesses shilling their products here. Such posts, under the guise of "helpful advice" degrade the integrity and longstanding intent of these forums (and I've had many years of active forum participation). What's to stop these forums from becoming just one ad after another? Nobody wants that (except perhaps those who only participate in hopes of making a buck). Pros that offer their own products or services in response to a query have a vested and biased interest. It makes me sad that such things are even allowed here. And yes, I do flag this stuff as spam and will continue to do so. There's a lot of poor and amateur advice here on this forum, and I'm in the business going on my 35th year now. I swing by to help out when I can just in the same way I help the lady next door change a flat tire on her car. I have never got a single order off of HOUZZ that I'm aware of. But this is the appreciation given for the professional expertise and experience which is FREE? Vested and Bias interest? <rolling eyes>. My wife says "Why do you even bother with doing that? That's the best use of your time?" At least the lady whose tire I changed will say Thank You instead of telling me I'm out to sell her a brake job....See MoreDesign advice! Can a sectional sofa work ?
Comments (6)If you have a sectional in mind, I might go for more of an L shape instead of a type with a chaise. And instead of covering your built-ins, I would place it so the shorter part of the L back is along the dining area to create a division there, and the longer part of the L is along the wall opposite the TV. This way you wouldn’t be blocking the entry doorway to the living room. You may even be able to keep one of your chairs with a small table (in front of your window)....See Moreoverhear
