Does Omega/Dynasty make frameless cabinets?
Comments (8)The most affordable custom frameless cabinets I know of is Bridgewood Advantage series cabinets. I just designed a kitchen last week with 31 lineal feet of cabinetry 3 10' walls in a U shape with 1/3 of all the cabinets being a custom width plywood box construction, dove tail drawers, soft close rails, soft close doors, and custom pull out acessories in all the base cabinets and 36" of pantrys. The dealer cost was approx $7,500 I offered them to the customer for $11,000 all door styles are same price in framed or frameless construction. The custom series with more options and 100's of door styles is usually about 20% more Here is a link that might be useful: bridgewood website...See Morecabico or omega dynasty cabinets
Comments (5)I'm searching for a mid priced cabinet line.Thought Diamond was it, but didn't like the depth of base cabinet draws, nor did I like their top corner cabinet options. Looking through these forums I found this thread. Not sure if Dynasty "melamine" is better or worse than a standard interior wood veneer. Kraftmaid has the depth of draw, corner cabinets, door style I like, but has not been spoken of very fondly by some who have had them from Lowe's/Home Depot. Help! What to buy, what to buy. When looking on the Omega site they have this regarding the cabinet construction: Quality Inside Out Dynasty/Omega's solid wood case construction makes your cabinetry ready for a lifetime of use. But you don't have to wait a lifetime to appreciate it. Dynasty/Omega cabinets are delivered square, stable and easy to install because we start with solid, kiln-dried select hardwood frames. Unlike many cabinet manufacturers, we produce every door (even our curved doors) on site allowing us to apply the same rigorous quality standards to the doors as we give to the rest of the product....See MoreFull access Omega cabinets
Comments (8)Omega Full Access has only been out now about 3 years. I cannot fathom someone removing 3 hear old high quality cabinetry from a home for any reason whatsoever, even if it was just not their style. The fact of whether or not a framed cabinet has a butt door for double doors has nothing to do with overlay. Partial overlay would just use a T astragal (also known as a dust strip) in order to do a butt cabinet with no center stile. In lines that offer both butt cabinets and those with center stiles, the butt cabinets are always a cost upgrade. But, those are the entry level lines. Mid grade cabinet lines almost exclusively use butt cabinets up to 36" W. Wider cabinets will have an added stile for stability. Frameless cabinets, can go up to 36" as double doors. And because there is no face frame, all double door cabinets are butt doors. I used Full Access on several jobs. It's is fine quality. As with many frameless cabinets, be sure that you understand the different options for finishing the sides of the cabinets and how that impacts the width of the design....See MoreKitchen Design - Omega Dynasty Cabinetry
Comments (21)Are you able to post a layout diagram? I'm wondering about aisle clearances, especially with bar stools pulled out from the island, across from the fridge. Do you know what you are storing in the tall shallow bank of cabinets? If not... have you gone through what you need to store and identified where it goes, throughout the kitchen? Have you identified your prep area and clean-up zone? Where are trash pull out(s)? Do you have a recycling center, do you compost, how many people are in the kitchen cooking at once... I suggest more time spent on functionality at this time before finalizing cabinet choices. BTW- I highly recommend 18" deep uppers, they are wonderful for large bowl storage. You have selected wonderful cabinets and I would like to see you get the best kitchen possible:) One more idea - if you stick with the current wall, another idea might be to use lighted glass uppers all the way around. You aren't going to able to access these cabinets easily. Poorly shown here:...See Moreluettaw
