Gollum Jade prunning
Comments (11)Chris, That's a new form of bonsai trimming, as bovine as they have to be. You didn't happen to get any pictures of it, did you, because I'm here to tell you, that would be cover material on a Journal of Succulence somewhere. I'm inspired to say...I'm over the mooning with the thought of cow pruning. C. O. Cattle Feed and Bonsai Emporium...See MoreJade cutting after two years!
Comments (6)I also found some pictures of a Euphorbia obesa that I've had for awhile, too. Before: After: It's from a different angle, but this guy has gotten much more columnar that that little baseball up there. It has a lot of character now....See MoreHelp with jade plant growth
Comments (6)Seems it's a bit etiolated. Would soft prune ( trim) most of the thinner stringy growth but you could also cut it back hard. It's also looking wet, it's a very good time to wire or manipulate the thinker branches as well as the thinner. Some look nice as sweeping and yours is heading into that direction. ( Nothing wrong with an upright canopy ) direct the thicker branches by wiring them in the direction you seek. It's lighting requirements are difficult to manage over the long term inside growing. You could increase it's inside brightness and gradually move it outside for more full sun time. Allowing it to get it some time outside is better but would exercise a little caution with high UV sun after a hard or soft prune....See Morehelp - dying Gollum Jade, any advice?
Comments (2)Poor dead baby! Search this forum for soil threads, gritty mix, pumice, perlite etc. When you get a new one remove all, yes all, the soil it comes in, put it in your new soild recipe you'll make from learning on her what to put in it. It's not hard, just read the threads and pick either pumice, perlite or some other well draining ingredient that's easy to get in your locality. Don't water it for at least a week after you repot it, then water well, but rarely. Read a little about watering, and how to give it good light and you'll be fabulously successful next time:-) Soil, light and water....See MoreAmynoacids (z6 MI)
