I wanted to store my Cuisinart with the work bowl attached in a 15" drawer, but it wasn't worth a dedicated drawer for one item, so I put it on the counter. You can also put some larger items over the fridge. I have a stockpot in mine. All my glassware is stored in a 4-drawer cabinet--three drawers of 6 1/4" and bottom of 9 1/2". There's a lot of room in there. My pie plates and rectangular baking pans are stacked. The only one that annoys me is the 9 x 13 pan on the bottom, but I usually use smaller pans for just us two. I have a few stacks of two, like colanders and smaller baking pans. Covered casseroles are stored individually in the drawer. I also have a set of nested bowls, but they would be stacked even if I stored other pans on edge.

dekeoboe I'm sorry, but I'm not sure where I found that particular picture any more. It was saved in my "storage" bookmarks but we decided not to use it b/c we decided to keep our dishes in upper cabs. It is possible that it was a UK only product b/c I know I found a bunch of things they have there that we don't that I am having shipped to cousins in Scotland and then sent over here. Thanks for the headsup, angela12345. I measured the GD and went to HD to measure the interior dimension of a 30" sink base cabinet. My oh my, a 30" sink base is TINY! But, it will have to do for now. The 33" sink base has more space inside and I wish we could put it in our layout without my being so bothered. Sigh. Alas, I really can't stand how the spacing of the sink base is uneven in relation to the already lopsided window on the wall. It makes me feel I am living in the winchester mystery house! So far, I have ascertained that it can hold our trash, recycle bin and compost pail, with a smidge of room left for fire extinguisher. Definitely no room for insta-hot water heater and filter. So, we nix that from our wish list. I am looking for a single bowl undermount. After some online research, I found a kindred sink KCUS30A-10/10BG that I like but I don't know if it's available online or not. I wish I could use the ticor sink but the one I like needs a 33" sink base. Bummer. The kindred sink I am interested in will have interior dimension of 27"W x 16"L x 10"H. I have one like Homechef's next to the cooker and use it the same way...using only two shelves with vinegars, oils, oyster sauce, hot sauces, etc....plus cayenne, garlic powder, Cavendars, i.e., the most often used or tall condiments associated with stove top cooking. I like it for how I use it. But using anything more than two shelves would be a PITA because it would be hard to see the stuff on the middle shelves and a little difficult to retrieve them. IOW's not at all ideal for rows of small spice jars (though labeling the top of the jars would help.) My favorite way to store spices is only narrow shelves with the spices only one layer deep in a between-the-studs wall cabinet. I've had such storage in a couple of kitchens (though they were never 'big enough' to fit my collection of spices) but no way to incorporate one in this kitchen. But if you have the wall space, that is what I would suggest as a good way to deal with them. However, given that you are thinking of using it in an island, a 9" pullout would be great next to the sink to store cleaners, DW detergent, liquid soap, etc.
