What do you think about this guy? (Yet another Echinacea pic)
Comments (6)I wouldn't assume that just because you have one doubleheaded bloom that it is due to a virus. At the beginning of the summer, several different types of plants of mine had one or two of those, but all the rest of the blooms since then, have been perfectly normal. I did pinch those off though, so they didn't produce any seeds. I remember a couple like that early last year too, so I don't think that it's necessarily a sign of disease. Comments (2)How cold was cold? Keep in mind your plants would be very tender because of them being in the house. Being wet and cold at the same time for some types would be lethal even if they didn't get exposed to freezing temps. I personally think it's not a good idea to move something outside unless it's for a shower under the hose or it's spring and you plan on leaving it out for the season. Houseplants on a whole will stress from the higher light intensity each time you do it. And if the wind comes up suddenly while it's out, things could get ugly. It's not hardened off and able to deal with wind. I'm curious why do you need to take them outside to water really good? Are you just meaning just the soil? I like to do that indoors right where they sit. randy...See MoreDo you think we'll have another frost?
Comments (15)GG We had frost on the ground this morning...just a light one. I moved some of the seedlings back onto the porch so I hope they are ok and I postioned things around a new salvia that I had planted the other day that was just starting to flower yesterday. I think we are going to have a frost advisory for tonight (Sunday night) also so i will try to keep things sheltered a bit today. Then MAYBE after tonight we will be in the clear. This cold weather is getting very very old. Penny...See MoreAnother CL find. What do ya think?
Comments (5)Very few antiques prior to 1830 had makers marks. If this is a 1960s or 1970s piece with a makers mark, I would think it would a fantastic buy at that price. That was the time that the best reproductions were being made. There won't be anymore like that. Grab it while you can. I have some Thomasville, Pennsylvania House and Ethan Allen from that time, but the drawers are packed full of "stuff," but I know that all 3 have marks on them but I just don't remember what they are, but I would think this would be certainly worth the asking price....See Morenini804
