I will be quilting Saturday after I take my mom & MIL to the airport in the morning. It has been too long - traveling and having exchange students put a halt to sewing so I am ready!!! I need to make a table topper as a gift to get in the mail so that is my goal.

I am starting my 4-10 schedule today, so I am off Monday. I really need to clean the house, but other than that I will be in the sewing room a lot. I had to take apart two of the Hunter Star pieced borders (HSTs sewn the wrong way - drat), so I'm planning to work on that. I really want to get this top finished! It will be my third top needing quilting, so I'm planning a quilting spree next.

Since the Cincy quilt top is done, I think I'll see what I can do about borders for a few quilt tops that need them. Plus, get started on another Zelda block. I'm up to #7 and have all the squares cut except for the black.

Sharon, I plan to visit the LQS today. I hope to find some solid colors. The next Zelda block will be Link, in 4 parts. I have it done, just waiting for DD to take pics so I can sew them together.

Sorry I've been AWOL for so long. Too much stress and craziness going on lately, but it seems to be calming down again.

My son is marching in the high school football game tonight (plays trumpet), so I have to go to that. Other than a few other taxi-mom trips and a few chores, I hope to sew all weekend.

I'm starting a new embroidery only quilt (hoopsisters sewn seeds) class next week. I have everything purchased, but I have some prep work for the first class. This quilt will be shades of blue with tan and white. I'm making queen size, but may add a border to make it king so it will fit on my bed.

I'm also trying to get my head wrapped around a kids clothes quilt I've been putting off for months. I find it very nerve racking cutting up the clothes to get them to fit in squares the way the mother wants them.

I have tables out and am marking a top to quilt. Then I will sandwich it up so I can take the tables down before guests arrive. If I get that done over the weekend, I will be happy.

Great quilt show in the park in Georgetown, CA today. They have a group of quilters that do appliqué that is beautiful. Lovely day, great quilts and they donate the proceeds from their opportunity quilt to their fire department, who assist in set-up. So glad to see them back, last year they were under evacuation for the "King Fire"!

Now I can get back to work on the quilt I started before my iron went out.

LindaOH......you don't need to hurry on my account. lol I did get 7 rows webbed together today. I really need 'down' time when I work on these blocks.....they tax my brain, but I think that might be a good thing. :-)

QHEn, the quilt show sounds great! It sounds like a very good relationship between the FF and the quilters.

Your post reminded me that the big show in Jacksonville is probably next weekend...off to check their website. :)

Well, I think I'll get the Shadowbox quilt & backing picked up and hanging with the rest awaiting quilting. Then maybe I'll get out the other top I finished at retreat & photograph that for you all to see. I think it'll require some more hot iron to set the pieces better.

We have family portraits next weekend, so might have go clothes shopping today.

DD2 has fabric & asked for a quilt. ☺
