Comments (5)I have a light yellow house myself. This is what I would do with your parents house - Upstairs - two end windows I would put white shutters on each side. Leave the middle window the way it is. I think shutters on all three upstairs windows would be too much. Downstairs - both of the windows I would put some type of white decorative trim/box type thing (I really don't know what they are called) across the top of each window. I would do the large trim piece around the front door white. For the front door, I would take a color out of the stone on the front of the house and paint it to match that. Google "what color shutters to put on a yellow house" I did that and there were a ton of images to look at!...See MoreHelp with bathroom paint colour for refresh!
Comments (3)Thanks , we like the toasty grey in our bedroom too! the next color up from that is Pillar. Our bedroom opens to the main room which is scroll beige husband is wondering if that is too much greige colours or if pillar will just keep it clean and neutral. Or i was wondering about a light greenish blue , l like the colour scheme in this shower curtain, but worry about the cream tiles around the tub or if it would look ok with the vanity top. Can you tell i have never done a bathroom before :)...See MoreKitchen refresh - color help
Comments (58)Regarding grout-painting. In a kitchen remodel I did recently, the tile guy used the wrong color grout....kind of brown while the tile is ivory. I tried the grout colorant, and painted--and painstaking is the word for it--a large section. I finally just bit the bullet and called another guy to take out the old and re-grout with ivory grout. The difference is colossal--loving hands at home versus professional and correct work.. If you are planning a total kitchen re-do in the near future, use the paint...but if you need to live with the tile for some years, spend the money to re-grout your tile....See MoreHelp choosing a kitchen paint color...any suggestions?
Comments (13)for some reason I see a very light pale pretty yellow with your materials. I am not a yellow person...but it would work with the blue in the next room, keep it cheerful...just a little nicer than white or off white. Don't have to be so serious in a beach house, yellow might be just that little extra bit of charm with your kind of somber/serious materials chosen so far. Very light though....See Morenini804
