Variation: Fold in a cup of either chopped fresh cranberries or chopped walnuts, or a mixture of the two. 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 1/4 cups sugar 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon ground or freshly grated nutmeg 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves 1 cup pureed pumpkin (Fresh or from a can; do not use pumpkin pie mix) 1/2 cup soy milk 1/2 cup vegetable oil 2 tablespoons molasses Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease a twelve-muffin tin. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and spices. In a separate bowl, whisk together pumpkin, soy milk, oil, and molasses. You might remember that Smudge likes bringing us pillows from the couch. Every nite he takes one off the couch and drags it into the bedroom for us. Every morning there's a pillow beside the bed. He often does it when we're out as well, and we always check to see where a pillow might be. One morning it was in the tub wedged under the spout. THAT I would loved to have seen. my husband bought the hardware to make some of those drawers for me and then made the drawers out of wood. I love them. I had a useless cupboard that I would have had to lay on the floor to get anything out of it or put in it, He took the doors off and attached them to the front of the drawer with the handles on the outside instead of in the middle. I use it for my lids now and it is one of my favorite things about my kitchen and the other cupboard he made the drawers for.
