Citrus Scam on E-Bay
Comments (18)Morning, Eahamel, mind if I ask where you're located? These days I suffer memory loss. lol. You probably mentioned location a million times. Are your citrus in containers or in-ground? Heck, wish my potted citrus grew like you describe yours. :) I think most plants need breathing room, although many authors say grouped plants retain humidity. But, plants kept too close lack air circulation. Something, plants, 'especially indoors,' require. How large do Rio fruit get? Ex..size of Navel orange or Grapefruit. My citrus are grown for decoration, and love of growing.. However, I have eaten lemon, calamondin and kumquats. As for 25' trees, I'm sure fruit isn't wasted. Birds get to nibble, too. :) So true..grafted trees fruit much faster than bushes. I think the only ungrafted citrus in my collection is a Calamondin.. Eahamel, citrus are not hardy in IL. One year 'out of desperation,' lol, I bought Poncirus/FD, then planted in- ground. It survived our freezing winters, think 3-yrs, but so slow-growing. One year, during winter, some Bozo walked across the garden, 'FD was dormant,' instead of the walkway. In the process my FD broke at the base. I was SO upset. It never grew back. HA! weather people. Plan opposite predictions. lol. According to forecasters, we're supposed to get rain all of next week. We'll see..we sure need rain, too. I should have checked to see if you started a new thread before posting here. We'll all do the rain dance..:) Toni PS. I have sown store-bought citrus seeds.. lemon. It grew so, very fast, but thorns were longer and more prickly than cactus. One pro...foliage had super-strong lemony scent. More pronounced than nursery bought, established fruit....See Morewhere*the*wild*things*grow- on e-bay -good review
Comments (0)I purchased adenium seeds from this co. on e-bay and although the first seeds arrives dead I contacted the company and they promptly replaced them with viable seed. I think the post office could be responsible for the dead ones or just bad luck that i got five infertile seed but the important thing is they replaced them promptly and they sprouted...See MoreWould you buy a range hood on eBay?
Comments (21)JustnotMartha, The seller is enjenjen. I cannot remember the particulars of the hood, but it has 830(?) CFMs. I did see the *exact* same model on a different site when I was doing research, and for the life of me I cannot remember the name. It was oversold on that site, and I believe they come from either Taiwan or Japan. The instructions were atrocious, however. Hubby and I had lots of giggles over them. He would pull out this little booklet with the one page and say, "Well, let's just see what it says on my very thorough handy-dandy instruction sheet." He's an HVAC guy, so no worries. If I wasn't in the middle of painting (just waiting for hubby to finish something, so came here--natch) I would try to find the company that I *believe* manufactures our hood. I do remember the model number was the exact same, just the letters and numbers were reversed. And YES, the price was much better on eBay....See MoreGood eBay seller for adenium arabicum seeds
Comments (19)So Adobowizzzy, I received my order today from Adeniumcenter, he gave me extra seeds which is a star in my book. I also bought some black RCN of the dwarf variety. Everything was neatly packed and labeled, paperwork in order. I'm not sure if you are mistyping or if spell check is being your worst enemy but the correct term is Adenium obesum. I am constantly battling with spell check in my posts, assuming this is the same for you ;) The answer to your grafting question is yes, they can be crossed for grafting between A. arabicum and A. obesum. Tracy...See Morealmax881
