Overhaul done ....this time is the final. I totally forget until I'm knee deep in it, but the hardest part is just seating the pan top and making sure all 6 burner gaskets are lined up. take a bit of tweaking, then putting a bolt in to hold one burner down, then tweaking and putting a hold down, etc till you get down to the last burner, and since the pan is now tigher to the stove....the last burner takes forever to line it up good. Once the under side pan gaskets are done...the top burner O ring is the REAL PITA....for those who have done this job, I'm sure you know. The ### O ring they use does not sit perfect in the channel and you need to manage dropping it down and finessing it to make sure that O ring is flush in the channel (more often than not) - the O ring tends to slip out of the channel as its not sized to the channel... AKIN to replacing a gasket on a valve cover or timing cover where you need to finesse the gasket at times, but doing a stove add the complexity since it's still 1 *cover* but you have multiple openings to align against the *1* cover.

I’m not sure who writes the reviews…. There are always a spattering of negative reviews whether fraudulent or not. You really have to read them and then balance the information with common sense. For some reason negative reviews seem to hang in the front of our mind more than positive reviews. With all that said, I have bought no less than 50 items from build.com over the last 2 years since I’ve done a remodel. I have not had 1 item arrive late or damaged and this included some large furniture pieces! I’ve had a couple items that needed to be returned and the return process was extremely quick. I’ve had to call customer service a few times for help and was always able to get someone friendly on the line quickly. The selection at build.com is massive. I’m not sure what else anyone could want from an online retailer?? If you needed to see a faucet color in person, you can always go into a Ferguson showroom and hopefully they would have some model of it on display. Hope this helps

I suggest you invite your cabinetmaker and HVAC contractor to meet you on site. With their collaboration, I'm sure you'll come up with a workable solution.

Are you talking about "SharkBite" type fittings? They have a 25 year warranty when properly installed and used with the correct pipe. For 10 years, they will cover damage caused by a failure of their product. There are plenty of other requirements, such as proof of purchase, installed by a licensed plumber, etc. The point is that this is the warranty period, not the intended lifespan. It's not likely to fail at 25 years and 1 day. All that said, I'm not a fan at all either. I have used them for temporary repairs, and could see using them in a tight spot when a flame would be a potential fire hazard - or when you can't get a positive water shutoff. But mostly, I think they just allow people who aren't skilled enough to sweat pipe to connect pipes. It's shameful, really. You are paying a plumber almost as much as an attorney - you would think the least they could do is have the skills to solder pipe. The fittings are stupid expensive, and although they save a little time, it's not THAT much time vs sweating a joint. A 1/2" SharkBite 90 degree elbow is about $10 while a copper sweat fitting is 74 cents. If you are talking about ProPress fittings, they have the same advantages of SharkBite (no flame, can use when you don't have positive water shutoff, fast) BUT the fittings are way cheaper and they are not coming apart. I have no reservations about using ProPress fittings. The reason that residential plumbers don't use them as much is because the pressing tool is about $3k
