Japanese Maples in Containers ~ Wintering & Pruning

Hi Maple Lovers......

Just a few questions about the Wintering & Pruning

Firstly do Japanese Maples need any Watering at all during Winter Dormancy here in the UK......

Secondly with regards to Pruning I have seen from a lot of Comments that Pruning should ideally and predominantly take place around February prior to the new growth season

I suppose the Leafless Tree during Dormancy is the Perfect opportunity to see what needs to be Pruned.I believe not exceeding around 20% of the Tree is the Wisest option...

Slow but sure seems to be the Rule Of Thumb with Pruning Japanese Maples..

If anyone could post a few words about my other comments it would be helpful and appreciated as always

Best wishes
