#1 is cardinal flower for sure I have been looking for a plant to get seeds from. I have a few things I would be willing to trade if your intrested. It is a shade woodland plant that likes its water.

I've grown a lot of salsify (Tragopogon porrifolius) and the seed heads can often be very off white and sometimes down right tan so the exact shade of the pappus is not an identifying trait. If it is in the US, T. dubius is the one you will often find growing wild hence my suggestion of that one. FataMorgana

For sure Aloe, could be a hybrid. While I can understand your eagerness to find out exactly what it is, posting the exact same thing at the same time in three separate forums (id, house plants, and here) is maybe not the best forum etiquette. Hopefully others can help nail down the species for you!

Hey everyone..Thanks for all your help. IT just so happens that it is a cactus from Brazil and I guess hard to find around my parts. I had to call the place from where I originally got it and the owner was finally there. He told me there is no mother plant around and when I bought it is was the only one available for purchase...This thing is just so pretty in bloom and so easy to care for..I love it! You can cut it way back and it come back strong with thicker trunks! Here's a link explaining what the plant is...I am so excited to have finally found out!
