need help with seed starting mix!

I'll be growing veggies from transplants from seed indoors under a grow light, so I figured this was the best place to post this.

I normally use just straight seed starting mix (therefore, it's soilless). However, under the grow light, just using a seed starting soilless mix by itself, it dries out way too fast. So, I'd like to combine a little bit of topsoil with some of the seed starting mix. I AM NOT using only topsoil for starting my seeds in; I just want to add some to my seed starting mix, because I think by doing so, it will prevent the mixture from drying out too quickly.

I also don't plan to add so much of it to the seed starting mix that it will make it a very heavy mix. I'm just wondering how much to use with my seed starting mix. I have about 8 quarts of seed starting mix, i.e. 2 gallons.
