Cinnamon will never dissolve as it is pieces of bark. I know this will sound harsh but please do not use any remedy unless you know what you are using. Even the simplest things can cause harm if not used correctly.

Thank you for your concern. My feeling was that finely enough ground cinnamon should dissolve in hot liquid even though it is bark. Cinnamon contains manganese, fiber, calcium, iron, vitamins C & K and polyhenols. A touch of cinnamon and honey in a cup of tea is healthful. I buy the best cinnamon available and use it in many different ways, and encourage others to research it and try including it in dishes to enjoy its benefits.

Pink Warm Mama, I just responded to your same question on the diet forum. Seems like some of these forums aren't very active, and that's the first time I've read that particular one.

Anyhow, I just want to repeat my comments from there, be sure the cinnamon you are using is the Ceylon cinnamon. I'm sure you are already aware of the dangers of using large amounts of the 'normal' brands carried by most grocery stores, and that pricey doesn't necessarily mean it is the real Ceylon cinnamon. But I wanted to add that info here in case anyone else who is reading this doesn't know.

And no, it apparently doesn't dissolve, though I wish it did. Someone on the other thread suggested using cinnamon oil, but I haven't checked to see what kind of cinnamon is used to make it. Have you?

Trying to dissolve cinnamon in water—that's kind of funny. I put so much cinnamon on my apple sauce! I don't even do it for alleged health benefits, I just really like cinnamon.

Agree Ceylon cinnamon is the safest. I buy from Penzey's Spices. Cannot supply results just now - that's why I inquired if others have had results.
