1 ~ What is the best Location to place Potted Japanese Maples over Winter.Sadly Space is Limited...Space in a Cool Garage is a Possibility.Light here is Moderate ?

2 ~ Will Orchid Compost or Ordinary Bark Chippings Insulate Japanese Maples over the Winter Period if placed on the Top Soil of the Tree within the Container ?.Bubble wrap cut to the size of the Pot Circumference and placed on the Compost was suggested in an article I recently read

3 ~ Are Terracotta Pots a No No for Planting Japanese Maples in ?

4 ~ Do Japanese Maples require Ericaceous Plant Food ?

5 ~ Is there a Rule of thumb for the positioning of Red and Green Maples.I understand from some earlier posts Red Varieties prefer direct Sunlight & Green Varieties Prefer Partial/Dappled Shade...Is it always best to protect the JMs from Windy conditions if Possible ?

Hope these Questions are not too Basic but I realize the Importance of Correct Methodology in the Cultivation of these Beautiful Trees

Best wishes.Stephen,Cheshire.UK
