Comments (20)Railroader, The furniture that you have pictured, is very simple, why use/buy plans at all??? start witht the easiest, which is the last picture of a lounger.... the design is simple, two 2X4s on the sides, there would be one additional 2X4 ripped down the middle and used as a support for the slats... make your own heights, this is probably 6-8" off the ground, so that's your legs, it's probably notched out to fit the leg in and outdoor glue plus bolt, the width is your choice too, 30", length, lay down and figure by your own body... :) oooh, I found an online free plan almost identical, good luck! Comments (13)Wow, really pretty! A client of mine (yes, another one!) has a gorgeous pool and the absolute BEST sling chaise lounges I've ever used. I asked her last year where she got them: Costco. I looked on Costco.com, but they didn't have them. I was so disappointed, figuring they'd been discontinued. But the have reappeared! I am planning on getting two for my own deck. They are very well made, the price can't be beat (considering the quality), two for $430, and they have a great feature I've never seen anywhere else: the arms fold down. Unfortunately, they only come in this one rather drab color. Here is a link that might be useful: Kirkland Chaise Lounge 2-pk....See MoreIn search of outdoor furniture.
Comments (42)I was in the market this spring for two super comfortable chairs and ottoman for my deck. I didn't want to pay a lot of money, of course, but was willing to pay for comfort and I was not going to buy online w/o being able to sit on it! So I checked out BedBathBeyond, HD and Lowes. HD (only) had a set that was terrific. It is part of a Martha Stewart collection called Charlottetown. I bought it online so I could select from a wider selection of available fabrics. If they didn't have that set, I would have ended up at a furniture store paying lots more money for sure. Total was $477 for two chairs and 1 ottoman (no tax/free shipping). I went with a non-Sunbrella fabric choice to save $100 or so plus I liked that color the best of all the fabric choices. The set is faux wicker, which was fine for me. If I was doing much larger areas, that would be add up a lot and a lot of assembly!!! I also don't think you should get eating table & chairs to identically match seating sets. Seems like it might be too matchy-matchy, but it might depend on the particular style and your actual physical layout. I was in HD last week and the outdoor seating department was being taken apart :-( I also purchased 2 awesome cushion covers for rain. I love them. Easy to use and good pvc-lined fabric, really blocks rain and no mildew inside if left on extended periods. special ventilation. http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Veranda-Patio-Lounge-Chair-Cover/8207328/product.html...See MoreOutdoor decor
Comments (45)LOL, KSWL, I bet you cannot believe that I own such colorful towels! I really liked the print pillow because it is different, and because I think seeing beautiful MCM projects like Pipdog's and now Rockybird's has swayed me toward MCM. I had it saved on my ipad as an image but I could not recall the source; i just found them here on Houzz. Funny i have never bought from Houzz before (and that was not where I first saw them). I get you on the knots! Robo, The wicker set is funny. In some light it looks almost honey, it others is if very much grey. Look at this shot form the mfrs site below. THe DR chairs look diff than the seating, and even among the seating, the two chairs look quite different. I saw it in person and it is most like the chair on the bottom left seating photo....See Moretinam61
