A lighthouse and a yellow boat....

I found a shrimpy little shrimp:

A weird looking fish like a seahorse that has been stretched out horizontally.

A scarily large crab (its claws were about 1 foot apart)

and a strange looking creature like a rock with legs

bob...that's a pipe fish

I just discovered this vine growing through one of my shrubs and never saw it before today--always surprises in a garden! Someone in the 'name that plant' forum ID'd it as Apios americana, groundnut.

What a wonderful array of photos today! I think I "liked" them all--or simply got too distracted to remember to click it. :-) Had to really look for the spider, And gazania's perfectly titled "higher aspirations" made me smile. Bob's underwater shots were as if I was seeing them in person. Everyone going out on adventures. Or walking on a slant (one of my legs is longer than the other, but not by that much!). Thanks for sharing them this morning.

Moni's spider is a cool one. Here's some info:

Argiope aurantia is commonly known as the yellow garden
spider or black and yellow garden spider. Females are much more colorful and
larger than the males. The zigzag of silk and its coloring makes this spider
easily recognizable.

We had one just like that right outside our front door. When I would find yet another stink bug in the house, I took particular glee in taking it outside and tossing it in the web. The big spider would race over and completely wrap up the stink bug in about 5 seconds.

This picture is pretty much at a 1 to 1 scale.

Bob I used to do the same thing! I would toss bugs and some times twigs in the Web and watch it quickly figure out which was a keeper and which to throw back out at me.

I wonder if the scarily large crab is a Dungeness crab? Yummy
