11 years agoIt is no wonder that this garden spider is growing! This was yesterday afternoon, it will be interesting to see what is left this morning.
11 years agoMel and I are hiding in the hallway, and I poked my arm with my camera around a corner, ... and look what a great shot I managed to get :)

Comments (9)I just got back from a trip to Springfield, Illinois where it's all Abe, all the time! Very interesting place to visit. I really enjoyed it. The building and obelisk behind Abe's head is his tomb. Very cool to tour. He, Mary Todd and 3 of their 4 boys are buried there....See More
11 years agoI recommended my new masticating juicer to a couple of friends. They bought it, and posted a picture of their first effort--served in wine glasses. I went them one better (some would say worse) and drank mine from a martini glass.

Boat assortment from Block Island.

My wife's family always use to go to Block Island for their summer vacation, and were members of the Block Island Club where many of the family learned sailing. In fact her father orchestrated the first purchase and shipment of "420" sailboats that the club used.
Here's my wife and brother-in-law taking a 420 out for a spin.
Here's a race the club hosted, competing against a different sailing club, with 420's and smaller sailboats called "Optis"
Here's a different brother-in-law in the boat that he (and part of his family) came to the island on from the mainland 10 miles away.
