When I participate in a swap, I always bring the bubble envy to the post office, have it weighed, find out exact postage, then put that on the "outside" for mailing to the host and that amount "inside " for mailing back to me, as I never want the host to get stuck with me not sending enough postage. Hosting one of these swaps has got to be a huge time consumer - we all (who benefit) need to make sure we do our part by handling the packaging/mailing/costs well. Also, add extra postage if you think you will be receiving back more than you are sending. Nancy

That would make sense. They seemed very scared of the door opening and my dogs or me being outside. That surprised me because the last 2 years we could all sit on the deck and they were very relaxed about getting close to us. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

That's cool that they came back at all. I'm surprised. Usually any fledglings are just about ready to take care of themselves, but I'm sure, they continue to hang out with family/relatives! That is a really neat thing about nature that most people don't usally notice. But, we who love the birds ... notice and learn! PS: I'm happy for your babies!!!! ... tweet!

Multi years ago, when our winters were colder, I used my screened in side porch as a refrigerator during holiday cooking. Kept my coconut cake, fudge there. Wasn't on the sunny side and had a concrete floor. Missed it when then DH turned it into an enclosed room :o(
