Any KitchenAid Range owners out there? Please help with your opinions...Thanks!

I decided not purchase this range that was to be delivered next week based on the reviews and problems of actual owners and users. Too much of a hassle.

Our oven has not failed but I have only used the clean cycle twice because of your concern and because we don't seem to create much spatter baking. Small spills have been easy to clean off the smooth surface manually anyway. However, the self clean is only for the main oven and the micro is difficult to clean (stainless interior instead of something slicker). Perhaps other micros are equally difficult?? I do like the micro/convection for baking. It heats fast (it is small afterall) and can bake breads and pies etc. Lately, I have been having some browning problems, but previous results were good and I expect it is just me and my ingredients. KA is easy to get on the phone and they can be helpful, but they can also be very stubburn. I had problems with a cooktop that they never resolved; and of course they basicly denied any problem with the failures you reference for years until they put out a list of some ovens needing a larger cooling fan (mine wasn't included). You need to be aware that the micro is not a speed oven (no microwaves with convection). Sears misrepresented it to me.

Yes, there is an island in front...7 feet long. But people will pass by that walkway on their way into the main parts of the house. They will be separated by roughly a 30" drawer bank. I'm not sure how that got changed to all lower caps in my subject? I know I had it written SS's. It must have spell corrected. I hope people can tell what the heck I'm referring to! Ha!
