Comments (27)When I was a teenager, my mother thought chipmunks were cute. My Aunt next door cut down on the amount of cats & Mom was feeding them (the tree rats). The next thing we knew, there were chipmunks EVERYWHERE. Dozens of them, digging up all the bulbs & everything we planted. Emptying all the bird feeders. Running & playing & most of all multiplying. My Uncles were poisoning, trapping & shooting them until they finally got down to a manageable number. In later years, I had a Sheltie who thought it was her job to be on chipmunk patrol & she took it very seriously & kept them away. My Newf isn't that excited over such a small mouthfull but we have an Eskie who likes organic dog toys (mice & such are organic cat toys). Linda...See MoreAm I going to hate this?
Comments (12)Kelly, I hear ya'. It's the hardest thing about doing mosaics, judging what it will look like when grouted. This is why I put off grouting sometimes, I am AFRAID I will screw it up. It's happened before....many times, unfortunately. You have to make a decision and go with it. I think you've made some pretty good decisions so far. I know you don't want to make an EXPENSIVE mistake. But sometimes that's how we learn the most. (yes, I know this way of learning just sucks!) Go with whatever your gut is telling you. (Isn't that true in all things, though?)...See MoreI forgot the name of this, 2 hours after hearing it..

Comments (8)I've never heard of that particular site. I sometimes look at Cnet when I'm looking for reviews for electronics, appliances, etc. We just bought a washing machine two weeks ago, so I figured I'd check out your link. The top washer they recommend is the same washer we just bought, albeit ours is the next size up in tub size. I spent days researching various machines, but for almost every single machine, for every good review, there is an awful review. We ended up just buying the same brand, newer model, that we previously had b/c for 13 years, we never had to call for a repair. As a family of six, I did a ton of laundry, so I'm hoping this one will be as reliable. But to answer your question, you are not the last one to know, but I hadn't heard either. So perhaps you are next to last to know. ;)...See More- 11 years ago
