Tough to tell for certain from that pic, but it almost looks like the Sweet Fern that grows on the Shawangunk Ridge in Upstate NY. Wonderful smell, and I've been told it can be made into a tea (please, always get a positive id before ingesting.)

If any plant lover gets the chance, a walk in the Shawangunk Ridge-top Pine Barrens is a must do! An environment and floral habitat like no other.
