Question About My Container Growing Squash?

Hi Everyone,

I have been experimenting this summer with growing some yellow crook neck squash in a big pot container. I started my squash seeds out in a ice tray with potting soil. When they were about 3" high, I bought some good potting/vegetable soil mixed with its own fertilizer to fill the big pot. The leaves are really huge, and there are a few different blooms now, but with my watering during this heat, I wanted to know if I am watering too much, because a couple of leaves are yellow now. I water them once per day good, and if the top dirt feels at all damp then not until the next day. I sure don't want to lose them now. I also know I have more plants in the pot than should be, but for this year it's all I had. Next year I will try to have big wide ones. I am 62 and have Lupus that is worse so I can't do regular gardening anymore. I love gardening, and really love squash. lol...

Thank you
