I have burned Cubex, Dry Creek and LG in my Harman P38. The LG were cheaper but burned a little dirty. Cubex in my eyes are the best. You may pay a little more but get a clean burn out of them. Dry Creek is a close 2nd to Cubex but their plant is shut down now from what I heard (no sawdust to make pellets)are on back order here in NY...

Catnapper or Franklin in your price range. Both very good brands.

I typically use satin finish in bath and kitchen for easy wipe up, etc. I used to be a big Behr fan, but switched to BM when I repainted our entire interior a few years ago. (I prefer BM's coverage and found BM's sheen levels are lower than Behr. BM eggshell is nearly matte where Behr's eggshell has some sheen to it.) Anyway, I stayed with satin in the bathroom (Pittsburgh Paint - they make a great paint too!) It's doing fine. In the kitchen I went with BM Regal eggshell. I have a kitchen/dining combo and didn't want satin sheen on the dining room walls. The BM eggshell is nearly matte, but easily wipes off. Anyway, I intended to put back splashes in behind sink and stove, just haven't gotten to that project yet. (Life got in the way :) It's been 2 1/2 yrs since I painted the kitchen/dining area and the paint is holding just fine. Splatters at the sink are the worst, and they wipe off readily and the wall is none the worse for the wear without the back splash yet. ;) Of your other choices, SW is very popular on Home Dec board, and I've heard lots of good things about Devine paint (don't have a dealer near me so can't vouch for it).

I had the first window company visit the house yesterday. He referred to my existing “single strength” windows as “$3.00 windows” and said the installation was awful, it’s no wonder I hear so much outdoor noise. He feels the basic glass option from Marvin, with proper installation, will make a noticeable difference but based on my comments would recommend their sound reducing option. The second company I’m meeting with later this week was recommended to me by the local architectural rep from Marvin. Unfortunately, I’m already not feeling solid about this company. The salesman didn’t follow up with me during our first interaction and when I mentioned it, he placed blame on the Marvin rep. Also, when I told him I would be comparing him against other companies he started with the scare tactics about most local companies don’t have certified installers. Seems like a fast talker to me, which put me off. Will have more details about the windows later this week.
