The day before yesterday the Tour de France went near or through the city of Lourdes in southern France. These pictures of the city are from the train as we went through several years ago. There is a Catholic shrine somewhere in the city that is believed to have healing powers. A week or so later, as we were flying out of nearby Pau, some people checking-in in front of us had all flown in that morning, had each traveled to Lourdes, filled a large plastic container with the "healing waters" and were flying out the same day. I got the impression that they were on some sort of missionary trip, to bring the waters to others unable to make the trip.

I love car shows..especially when they have the old or unusual cars... Note the license plate on this car says "2nd of 2" There were two of these cars built to be used in a movie. The first one was destroyed during the production. I talked to the owner and he said that he had worked as a technician on the movie project, but the movie company went bankrupt before they finished production and most of the people who worked on the movie had to settle for pennies on the dollar for their pay. He asked if he might have the car in lieu of the monies that they owed him. I don't know how much they owed him, but I am sure he got the best end of that deal....

Jim it may have had scents from around the world or the mail persons cat and it was so awesome Tony was overwhelmed and needed a nap. Lol My llittle Mia goes crazy smelling packages I receive. I can only imagine how many scents it picks up on its trip to me. She loves the 2 black labs next door they are good friends and visit each other occasionally. My neighbor shares a magazine with me that I enjoy. The moment it enters her space Mia is all over it smelling and an occasional lick might sneak out lol. Beautiful pictures and omg the pink petunias are so pretty!
