Apparently Jet is trying to be competition for Amazon. I got an email from Jet offering a free 6-month membership. Paid Jet memberships will be less than Amazon. I read an article saying that many of Jet's prices are lower than Amazon, but I checked out a few items and found them to be close to the same. I think I'll stick with Amazon.

They immediately failed my one test. Amazon was the conduit for a really unusual product line I use, when I couldn't find its US storefront. It finally has one, but Amazon got me through until they did!

Thanks! I always love freebies! I requested a sample, but my state is not listed under the "locations available" list, so i don't know what to make of that. I guess I'll just wait and see. It never hurts to try.

You can look for a long, flexible brush... Resembles a bottle brush, but wire. You really Ned to get the crud out or risk a fire in grill. Stiff wire brush works well on any external crud. Once internal and external gunk is gone, I'd fire up grill on high and let it go for a good half hour to burn off anything that might be left..

As some of you know, they're a talkative bunch over on KT and the last messages left on P. 67 over there are about Feb 22, so early Feb. ones have fallen over the edge of the abyss by now ... sorry. Guess that I should have posted, to have brought it back to the top. But I expect that most of you who may have been interested went over there to check it. I think that I didn't know how to post a link, then ... but have learned, since. The idea was to stay in motels or hotels, as one gets almost as good service as in many retirement homes. Or go on successive cruises, for similar reasons. Though one would need a place to hang one's hat during the in-between times. And would you like to get rid of everything that you own ... except what you could carry on a cruise ship? Pack rats would have a life-shattering trauma over a situation like that! I hope that everyone's having a lovely week. It was cold and windy here, but sunny and warm, today. ole joyful

Interesting...haven't heard of Jet. In addition to free shipping, do they offer eBook (i.e. Kindle), streaming video and music? Just wondering if the comparisons are truly head to head.

Never heard of Jet. I use Amazon a lot, and also use my Amazon Chase Visa card and the Amazon points I get for using it. Last week I bought an Omega masticating juicer for $227. After using a gift card from my daughter and the balance of my Amazon points, it cost me $9.

I looked up the book "Wonder." Hardback on Jet is 17.63. On Amazon it's 8.41. I'm not saying Jet isn't a good deal, but so far I'm not impressed. Really don't need another place to shop anyway. Competing with Amazon would be a very tall order!

Not sure about ebooks, streaming, etc.....Dee.

I am always suspicious of a place that makes you pay a significant amount to get a discount. Traditionally, club stores, and presumably online services, get a break from the wholesalers because they have limited and concentrated customer base. Even if that's still true, you'd have to spend about $500 a year just to make back your membership fee. Amazon gives free shipping on moderate sized orders with only a wait and no fee.

Strike two for me! I don't have prime, so I don't pay a membership fee. And won't. Hm. Bad that Jet and I are off on the wrong foot.
