The only garden related item I got for Christmas was a book called "The Essential Garden" which appears to be not much more than an advertisement for various garden tools and equipment. So as a consolation, I treated myself to my first begonia (6" with orange blossoms, very elegant looking) and my first marginata dracaena, which is too big for the spot I was trying to fill. There are 4 plants in the pot, so as soon as I can purchase some more decorative pots, I will divide it. I'd like to put something else in the pot with it, that will spill over the side. What pairs well with the marginata dracaena? I have always had one type of plant per pot, but I want to create little indoor container gardens. I just want to be sure I pair up plants that have similar needs. Anyone have any suggestions?

I haven't bought it yet, but I certainly intend to. It will be going in my master bedroom where I have my son and his fiancee. My son was so hard on the carpet the previous owner put down (cheap, builder's grade), I put down a laminate floor so I wouldn't have to worry about stains. Laminate wasn't much better and isn't much good overall. Every place where my lazy son has spilled a drink and didn't immediately wipe it up there is a nasty raised area between the seams. Furthermore, even the tiniest amount of "play" in the subfloor can cause the floor to click and pop (at best), or worse it can cause the locking mechanism between the planks to break. I said all of that to say that with Allure you won't have to worry about spills because it is a vinyl floor. If you ever did have to replace a "plank," a razor knife, a scraper, a little finesse, and 10 minutes is all you'd need. If you have laminate, you'll have to remove every plank all the way back to the wall. I've seen this stuff in a completed room and the only thing that looks and feels more like real hardwood is actually real hardwood. I can tell a laminate floor from a mile away. If there's a Wal-Mart near you they may have a similar product on the floor of their shoe department or clothing departments. I've also seen similar stuff used inside Tractor Supply stores. If there is a Lowe's near you, they have an alternative product by Armstrong. It doesn't seem as substantial though. Also, Lowe's carries a vinyl plank called Novalis which is actually a lot cheaper than Allure and I've read really good reviews about it. With Novalis though, it is a traditional "peel and stick" type plank, so the subfloor would have to be prepped much more thoroughly. I've provided a very helpful link I found. We used this product Smartcore Pro on a kitchen floor install. It was a nightmare to install. In my opinion the tile snap in‘s are defective. Once snapping in place they pop back up, and a slight adjustment to a tile throws every other tile in place out of alignment. It’s poorly engineered, not the type for a DIY project There’s no room for error. After living with it for two years of constantly shifting out of place we pulled it out and put it in the trash were it belongs. We had a Tile setter come in and installed a porcelain tile floor. Save your money would not recommend it ever. Poorly made and engineered.

We had them. I threw them all out and would not get them again. The sticky things are basically clear stickers that you apply to the underside of the tiles. They hold reasonably well and do not stick to the floors. You can buy extras in case you need to replace some of the tiles. I did not like them because the tiny gaps between tiles were big enough for dust, dirt and sand to filter though. My floor under where the tiles were is scratched up--I do have kids and they definitely tracked in sand despite my efforts to prevent that. Also, they are not very cleanable. Ours were mostly and oatmeal color and they showed grime and dirt quite easily and I could not get them to come really clean, not even when I took them outside and scrubbed them with dish soap and a scrub brush and then tried folex.
