Lowe’s Smartcore Naturals Planks
Comments (13)Hi SJ, I really appreciate what you shared. We are on the cusp of a remodel we never intended to do. Our dishwasher sprung a slow leak that destroyed our cabinets and bamboo flooring slowly. We live in the Charleston SC area that is hot and humid half the year, and were considering Smartcore in Rustic Hickory because of how it seems like the only LVP that I actually think looks like wood. I think it's pretty. At any rate, i walked into the store tonight (Goose Creek, SC) and saw a little sign saying Smartcore Naturals was on it's way to us (I didn't even know it had existed for months already in other areas) and boasted that it was everything we loved about our Rustic Hickory, but actually was real wood! None of the few reviews on the site actually say anything about how it holds up, except for the bamboo, which i just assumed was because, well, bamboo... I have it now, I inherited it with the house, and i despise it. I assumed this new line would solve all my issues. I didn't want tile because it is so darn hard and i have little children. After reading your review about LVP in general, I feel more lost than ever as to what to do. I need to make a decision asap, and will go the tile route if it's necessary. Any further advice is appreciated. Thanks!...See MoreHas anyone used Design Innovations Shiplap from Lowes?

Comments (1)We have Lowes' SmartCore in our downstairs bathroom. I'm fairly sure there are two price levels, and we chose the more expensive one (compare the specs). We love it; no problems at all, and would definitely put it elsewhere. Caution: LVP (or LVT) performance depends on the CORRECT installation. They say it's a DIY, but unless you have DIY experience in laying floors, it's worth paying a pro to lay it down for you. All vinyl plank and tile need a level floor, and most importantly, proper spacing at the wall to allow for expansion and contraction. Hope this helps....See MoreHelp! Has anyone used Lowe's Della Torre Tile for shower flooring?
Comments (0)We are swooning over the ceramic "encaustic" tile but are hesitant on putting this as shower flooring. For some reason, Lowes and the Della torre site does not have shower floors listed as suggested areas of install. However, there are PORCELAIN "encaustic" tiles that they make and shower floors are listed for those tiles. Has anyone had any issues with this Cementina in their shower floors? Has anyone seen pigmentation fade over time? https://www.lowes.com/pd/DELLA-TORRE-Cementina-Black-and-White-8-in-x-8-in-Glazed-Ceramic-Encaustic-Tile/1000241509...See MoreRelated Professionals
