This is a brown anole: This is an Eastern Fence Lizard: I've seen other photographs of anole lizards looking like a fence lizard, so maybe it's hard to tell the difference. The anole lizard above doesn't look like mine in that picture, but there were definitely others that were very similar. He's cute I know that and I have no intention to kill him to see his belly, but maybe I can put a clear glass he can crawl on? That will be nice. He prefers my tomato plants is all I'm happy about. They are doing good for as late as they were planted. One bush is loaded with about 12 small green tomatoes.

Hi here's my two cents lol I'd get some experience with maintaining a plant only terrarium for some time before adding any kind of animal. research the particular type you're interested in and design the setup around them. Most lizards are insectivores so will require a steady supply of insects. Of course if herbivore you'll need a constant supply of new plants lol. gary

Interesting...Thank you for the prompt identification! Boy, they must be great swimmers! >g

Sounds like you may have seen a brown basilisk, which is an introduced Lizard, although I haven't heard of them in that area. They are becoming more common in Miami-Dade County. Can you give me a size estimate? Here is a link that might be useful: Brown Basilisk in Florida
