orange tree near groves
Comments (5)mbuke, The only reason I can imagine that someone would tell you not to plant near orange groves is the fear that your tree may not be looked after good enough and become diseased and pose a threat to the orange grove next to your property. There are more threats to the citrus industry in Fl than just Canker and it's very scary. There is allot to learn from what the Univ of FL put out on the web on citrus....See Moreorange tree near groves

Comments (3)Coarse bark is less effective for weed suppression than fine bark at an equal depth. OTOH, fine ground Hemlock bark will sometimes shed water when packed over time unless a texture is put on it. I have even poked holes in it with a pitch fork to allow water to seep into the ground. There were a LOT of deaths, I believe.....like 100 or more????...See Morewanna_run_faster
