Vent/hood question - what if a stud is in the way?
Comments (18)Sorry, designnov, my cabs got installed today, and I've been distracted. We didn't discover the problem until demo, and by then there was no way to put the cooktop on the outside wall. I had ordered a Kobe undercabinet hood, 720CFM (effectively) at high speed. It will be pretty powerful, so I'm hoping it will work despite the long trip. Apparently, the duct can go up, down, sideways, whatever. They try to minimize the distance and the turns, of course, since both of those reduce the flow. But you do what you have to, and this is what we had to do. My GC put in a 10x3 duct, and it's tucked so well into the basement ceiling that we didn't notice it until we looked for it. I think it will be fine. I'm cooking on induction, not gas. Hope it works out for you!...See MoreFit Bit, need to know!
Comments (2)I looked it up....."Relax" is guided breathing and "A Reminder To Move" is what your referring to. The "Relax" app can be loaded as a feature on these: Fitbit Charge 2, Fitbit Blaze and Fitbit Ionic Reminders to move: Most wrist-based Fitbit devices feature reminders to move....See MoreWhat Have You Been Doing Today?
Comments (28)Slept all day, then got up for work. I stopped at publix on the way and picked up 4 dozen mini cupcakes, half vanilla, half chocolate. It's my birthday and I usually bring some sort of goodies to share if I am working. I spent part of the night taking down some of my Christmas decor at work. It's so depressing to see it go and to return to the off white cinder block walls of everyday life. And I stumbled upon a dead mouse in the closet where I keep the decorations. Luckily, there was an abundance of brave men handy to remove it for me. Anyway, I still have quite a bit to do to undecorate. Hopefully it will be done by monday....See MoreWhat do you use to count your steps?
Comments (26)I have always worn a watch and feel naked without one. Years ago I bought a Garmin Forerunner to track my running but only wore it for running, and wore a “nice” watch the rest of the time. After replacing my Forerunner with a newer version that had more features, I stopped wearing my nice watch (unless I am dressing up) and wear my Garmin 100% of time - I use it for tracking all kinds of things, steps, runs, sleep. I can read text messages from my iphone and see when someone is calling me. I have no desire for an Apple watch but like that my Garmin syncs with my phone. But all that said, it does not sound like it is something that you would want to wear (it’s bulkier than a fitbit)....See MoreDanahills
