My latest project :)
Comments (13)MM, after watching all the neat changes that blogger does with decorating her hutch, is what makes me want one to play with so badly. But I honestly have NO place to put one. I am thinking maybe here in my "dog den" (my 6 Whippets, my TV, and my computer. LOL) when my 18 yr old fish kicks the bucket. I want that 50 gal tank gone and its either put a loveseat there, or a hutch. My dogs vote for the loveseat of course. LOL. Trouble is, I've heard of these kind of fish living for up to 30 yrs. LOL. (he's a freshwater scavenger, Plecostamus, and looks like a prehistoric monster. His shark buddy died last year at same age. Anyway, he's here till the end. ;o) Lynne mentioning decorating your curio cabinet. I do that for Christmas with several of mine, but never have for other holidays. Can't seem to bring myself to pack or sell my many collections. MM, leaving you with my favorite quote... "You just gotta learn to dance while Life is throwing chainsaws and chickens at you.... after the first few cuts and pecks, the rest is easy." hugs, Karen...See MoreSharing my latest project....
Comments (5)I am anxiously awaiting tomorrow's arrival of my first embroidery machine. I have had a Kenmore sewing machine for over 30 years and decided it was time I treated myself to an upgrade. I ordered the Brother SE400 and am anxious to get started! I have (great-nephew) twins that I want to make shirts for that I saw recently. One will say COPY and the other one will say PASTE. I thought that was so cute. The blankets are great! I see your original post is from several years ago. I'm sure you are enjoying your grandchildren. My first granddaughter will be 2 in a couple of weeks and I'm sure she'll be the recipient of many embroidered goodies from Nonna....See Moremy latest project
Comments (20)I am not that self taught..I love this and Slow is drooling and chomping at the bit to take classes. I really want to also but the schedule looks like it is thru at Eds Emporium for the year, so next year project. In the meantime I will try to do as you have shown us and put together some glass and see what I get. I have been gathering glass since I saw the site Silva posted. Ear of the wind studio...love it. I have to finish a few things first. Thanks for the inspiration...your lamp is beautiful....See MoreXpost, This is my latest project, anyone else have projects to share?
Comments (26)Everyone's quilts are absolutely GORGEOUS!!! I've never tried quilting... yet. :) I want to share another of my roadside wicker "saves" because it's so unusual. lol! I saw these legs at the road while on a walk one day last year and passed them by initially, but felt guilt pangs and had to try to save it. :O) The lower part of the base was shot, the toes were shot, and the top obviously had problems. lol! I was able to pull away the bad parts and (masterfully, if I must say ;^) weave in the base, new toes, and a whole new supportive "girdle" so that I could make a small tabletop for it. The original weaver did a fabulous job on the legs, so I had to save them! :)...See MoreCharles Miller
