Having a picture of the flower/seed head would definitely help. This may be a sedge (Carex) rather than a grass.

I thinkthis maybe a mini cholla (cylindropuntia) Grows just like the full sized cane cholla but much smaller. But with h the same beautiful flowers in magenta color. Needs little to NO water

Thank you Carol- i will look up the names you provided as it is alway nice to discover new plants. i was buying small celery plants when i spotted it next to the Parsley. -i did ask for the name, but i didn't write it down (it was not a herb that i had ever heard of) but i was told it went in pies. i thought it looked like Burnet. possibly some flavour will develop later -so far it just tastes fluffy :-(

Hablu, how big is this E. Albicans? Mine is very small, bought it in 1-inch pot.
