True Linda - they are not yellowthroats - only looked a bit like them. I saw one in Nova Scotia 2 years ago (attached) and was reminded of it.

Sorry Barbara you are so right my book "What flowers When" by Harry Oakman calls it that top name so I did a bit of Googling with no luck so just typed in Pavetta and it came up as a Native "Pavetta australiensis" a rainforest plant of the Brisbane area have a look at the link below..Cheers...MM. I don't think so...? Purple flowers... And the blue is there. The darker leaves are truer to actual color. I didn't realize how light green it appears when I took the pic.

I have 2,3 super Dwarft banana plants . They're putting out one leave a week in Pa. Very cold here. How many leaves do they get b4 they fruit? Like they say reg. Banana plant, they say they get so many leaves b4 putting out fruit? Anyone know?
