A little farther down the coast we're getting some too. Fluctuating between light to moderate from about 8-10AM, a heavy shower of about a half hour duration a little later. We have showers forecast here through Monday.

It's helping my lawn and shrub beds, I don't think enough to give things under the canopy of trees a drink yet. It may be enough to lessen not eliminate our fire threat.

Anyway, I'm calling it about a $20 rain at this point;) I have things in the landscape we are renovating that have only been in the ground less than a month so have been watering (lot is almost an acre). Last Tuesday I found a city note taped to my front door that said if I wasn't watering, I'd better be checking for a leak because I'd used substantially more water than the same time last year. Bill came yesterday and they had charged me $66 additional for water - I'd been prepared for worse ;)

Sad and we are over here in Ohio turning into a bog. We are so happy that it's a pretty day today.

Our rain has been more like steady showers, which is very good, because our land is very dried out and a heavy rain would only run off. My daughter is over on the Vancouver mainland and she is having trouble with her breathing (she asthmatic). The campgrounds have put an advisory about "no campground/beach fires permitted", but there are many people who wilderness (or roughing-it) camp and, as such, are under no constraints or controls. Too bad, as some of the wildfires have been attributed to them. :(

We wish for rain every day here! It's a fruitless effort.

So glad you got it, Justlinda. It's such a help with fires. Actually we did have a slight bit of moisture on the Lake Fire in So. California, and it really made a difference for the firefighters.

We got our 1st "shower" of moisture today, the 1st since the middle of May......I'm up near the Alaska border & we too are surrounded by wildfires.....lots of smoke but not so bad today......

This spell of hot, hot weather has me thinking that winters are much too short.....lol......
