Strange all out coiling and curling of tomato leaves and stems

I am having these problems with only one of the varieties of tomatoes I am growing, Burpee's Supersteak Hybrid.

the leaves and young stems at the top of the plants are coming out in one massive big curl with one another as if they don't have anytime to unfurl. They don't actually look sick just coiled tight with each other.

The stems look like they didn't have time to separate or differentiate.

I have never grown this type before or seen this tomato plant so I don't know what it is supposed to look like.

And the following may or may not be related:

The bottom leaves have this heavy curl.

I took these pictures yesterday and today leaves further up the plant are getting curled too.

For what its worth these plants are in the same fertilization/watering regimen as all the other tomatoes.....so I can't understand.

What could be happening? What am I doing wrong? What should I do?

Thank you!

K.
