chest wrinkles..
Comments (13)Wow...you learn something every day. I don't have chest wrinkles...never seen 'em. I was blessed with great genes, I guess, since I have always been a sun baby, but my chest isn't all leathery or wrinkly. My sister, on the other hand, looks awful. Now I will probably have to inspect my chest every morning. Man, it's bad enough I fight the darn face wrinkles, now I gotta worry about the neck down! Oh, tish...in my case its not from lack of endowment, but I might have to look into a sleep bra some time. It HURTS when you roll over onto your boob and squish it....See MoreHave you seen the flabby arm/sleeve infomercial
Comments (24)Funny Dances...I saw one of those Fashion programs and they were talking about heavy girls wearing leggings or tights and a long top thinking it made them look slim and them were bursting a lot of bubbles saying where on earth did you all come up with that idea...it makes you look like a tootsie pop..which sounds like what you are talking about...can't think of her name but you know the one tall dark with the white streak in her hair right in front with the dorky guy...she said...toss that idea out and don't do it... I did see a girl at a buffet once in that kind of outfit and on top of all that...she had evident lost a lot of weight and had this flap of skin that hung down and when she lifted her arms it was so obvious it made me feel bad for her...I wondered if she hadn't ever looked in the mirror before she left the house....I guess we have all made gross misjudgements at one time or another ......See MoreOT: A Wrinkle in Time for the U.S.
Comments (45)Well, I'm in Western Australia and enjoying daylight saving. The weather is still the same no matter what the hour, daylight saving doesn't make the days any hotter, some opinions to the contrary :-). My husband, who installs TV antennas, is enjoying the fact that with daylight saving there is a little more time during the morning when it is cool enough to work in and on a roof without being turned into a crisp. There is also more light time in the evenings for finishing off jobs. I am enjoying the fact that I can get all our evening watering done while it is still light enough to see what I'm doing. My adult daughter enjoys that she can go to the gym in the evening and not come out to a dark car park. Yes, we get up in the dark but we do that in winter anyway and its no big deal. Certainly it is easier dealing with businesses on the other side of the country (where a lot of the head ofices are based) with a two hour rather than a three hour time difference....See MoreBraided Money Tree - One Trunk Wrinkled and Soft - HELP!
Comments (4)Hi, Danielle. Neat pot! Why Petrie? The first thing I thought of was a Petri dish. Some people get confused about the difference between repotting and potting up or just changing pots. Unless you live in the southern hemisphere, now isn't a good time to repot, the reason being that repotting includes root pruning and a change of soil, and doing it now will significantly stress the plant and leave it much weaker than it is now. With winter just around the corner, that wouldn't be advisable. If your pot doesn't have a drain hole, you should temporarily remove the plant and drill one, or change pots. If you need direction on how to drill the hole, I can help with that - not a big deal. After the hole is drilled, you simply let it drain at the sink & then set it on/in a collection saucer. If repotting IS in the plan you have for the plant, the best time to do that is very late spring - like around Father's Day. If you live in the deep south, a week or two earlier wouldn't be unreasonable. I would remove the dead plant. Reason: eventually all the trunks are going to fuse together via a process called inosculation. The dead trunk will force the living trunks to grow around it, which will interfere with the fusing process AND make for some unsightly lumps and bumps. You need a drain hole in the pot for 2 reasons. 1) to allow some of the excess water that is limiting your plant's root function to drain from the pot. A healthy plant isn't possible w/o a healthy root system. 2) So when you water, you're flushing the salts from tap water and fertilizer solutions from the pot. This is important because high salt levels create conditions that limit growth, health, and appearance, all occurring as a result of the plant's reduced ability to absorb water. If you think about how curing salt literally PULLS water from the cells of meat during the curing process, you are envisioning what an excess of salt(s) does to the cells of plants. If you like the rocks on top, there is no reason you can't keep them. They do slow evaporative water loss a little, but there are ways to make the excess water leave the pot w/o you having to nix the rocks. We can talk more about that if you like. In fact, if you're interested in a Basic Overview that will help you avoid all the common issues most new gardeners are forced to deal with at one time or another, just follow the link.
