Does anyone have a Blanco Diamond Single Bowl Silgranit sink?
Comments (4)Baquinn, I have a different Blanco sink, but it was large too. I have the equal double bowl undermount Performa (33 by 20 and 10 inches deep). Fortunately, my GC caught the specs and so we were able to ammend the plans prior to fabrication of the cabinet and counter. We did pull the sink base cabinet forward. Initially this was supposed to be a straight counter edge, but you can see the curve we put in to accommodate the sink. I am happy we did. I really like my big sinks. The larger sinks are another favorite thing about my renovation. I hand wash a lot of items, so this sink has made the job so much easier. On another note, everybody's renovations have their fair share of setbacks and frustrations. It's never smooth sailing. It's definitely a process and it will be complete one day and you will really enjoy it! If a large sink is a priority for you, don't settle on a smaller one just for time. There will be more than one hiccup and you want to have the kitchen you really want because you are the one who will be living with whatever decisions you come to. Comments (4)The small one. The stream is angled forward, in any case. It's a small kitchen. -- I like that you have chosen the single hole Simplice faucet instead of the two-hole version. It has a much smaller diameter handle "tube" and that makes it lighter looking, not as heavy as having two pillars on your counter. You don't need to install the plate under it. The pause button on the handspray wand is very handy, according to a friend of mine who has this pause (and a Simplice). He says it's deceptive: one might think it's just as easy to touch the handle as it is to press the pause button. Not so. I haven't asked him to describe this in more detail, so this is all I can say about the pause button. Hth...See MoreBlanco Silgranit Diamond in Anthracite - what accessories to get?
Comments (5)I'm also getting a silgranit - 2 actually, one for my prep sink (large precis) and one for cleanup (33 inch wide SuperDiamond or something like that) - have ordered both in cinder and also ordered the grids - something everyone here highly recommended. But I didn't order the chopping block that fits. Wasn't sure and thought I could order later if I wanted (though now that I think of it, if I have this when sink is installed, better chance the chopping block will fit??)...See MoreCleaning tips for white hard water stains on Blanco silgranite sink
Comments (19)Your water probably isn’t the problem. It’s the sink! My sink looked like that after a few months of being very careful with everything. I had my water tested to make sure it wasn’t something in my water, my water was perfect. Not hard. PH was 7.2. No chemicals, bacteria, nothing. This sink is just bad! Blanco markets this sink as stain resistant, scratch resistant, bla bla bla and it’s all lies! I contacted customer service immediately and they refused to refund me or provide a replacement sink. They told me I needed to use more “elbow grease” despite their claim that this sink is “low maintenance” Blanco is boldly marketing lies and ripping people off. The problem is, once your sink is fabricated into your brand new counter top, nobody wants to pay to tear the sink/counter out. Blanco knows this and they rely on it to get away with never replacing these awful sinks. I called them out on it. I asked for a refund and told them I would allow a Blanco rep to come to my home and take the sink out. Guess what? They said no. I have an entire email thread with customer service and it’s very obvious that they know what they are doing. Don’t waste your money on this trash. My kitchen renovation is plagued by a nasty sink that is stained. Ruined my entire look!...See Moremmpettigrew
