What color is the dog? :-) ETA...I love the blue one, too. Just wanted to make sure she would "go" with it. Any dog hair will show less on it, I think, even if she matches the other one better.

Good question. She goes better with the bee cover from Ballards. She's a Yorkie who thinks like a Great Dane.

Love the top one and think it's perfect for your room. Everything else is SO neutral. That cover is perfect.

JLC, we had been talking about getting a bigger bed, but it was this frame that pushed us to do it. Walked in and liked it. On the way out, saw it was 70% off and next thing we knew.....Besides, you can do more with a bed than a tree!

Thanks for your help. The mattress and bedding arrived and we are thrilled. Well, the dog isn't thrilled as she has yet to join us on the bed. Trying out a new "thing" with her called a Dog Bed, of which she has five. But I digress....

Here's the summer bed with a white coverlet and shams.

And here it is with the duvet cover and shams. No duvet insert yet as its July in So Cal. It can wait a while.

The dog doesn't get a seasonal look. But she does have a nice fluffy baby blanket from target.

Funny, I posted on another post that I don't like matching shams and duvet, but in this case I think it was needed. I ordered the duvet first, just to be sure.

Congrats! That's a gorgeous bed! I'm sure your "great dane" will come around and join you shortly ;-) We too are considering a too-large bed for our too-small bedroom to accommodate me, the 6'2 mr, 3 cats and 2 dogs. At least we have a way of keeping the fish out of our room, lol.

Can I ask about the dimensions of your room and how much walk-around space you have around the bed?

Beautiful! Our bed is probably too big for the bedroom as well. When you can't miss the bed regardless, you might as well get the bedding you love!

Hi Michey, I think our room is something like 12 x 14. Here are some photos around the bed. Honestly, I never liked large bedrooms. Always felt like they were a waste of space. We don't have anyone else in the house we want to escape from. Another couple feet would have been nice, but sleeping comfortably is better.

The closet door is just the other side of this dresser. It's for my husband's clothing. Mine is in another room.

This is the other side of the bed. Just enough room to get out.

Unfortunately, because the bed is slightly in front of a window, it's pulled away from the wall a few precious inches but we can still get by. I open my drawers from the side.

No one has stepped on the dog yet.

Thank you! I tend to agree -- large bedrooms seem wasteful, especially since most of the time there is spent sleeping. As I said before, your room looks GREAT!!!

On my side of the bed, I have about 18 inches between bed and wall -- plenty for me to walk and i'm the only one that goes over to that side anyway. If we do upsize to a king, I will keep my walkway but on the hub's side, his path will shrink down from 3 feet. I *think* we can do it, but haven't attacked the room with a measuring tape yet (one of the many things on my "to plan" list.

It's commendable how you gave the mr. the bedroom closet. I commandeered ours for myself and make him go to a different room ;-)

Both closets are quite small. Even though his closet is slightly larger, mine is in my office with an attached bath. I got the better deal! ;)
