krihoel, Here's the setup from Right to Left.... 22" sink base (edge of frame to edge of frame) about 19 1/2" (edge of frame to edge of frame) for the double trash can. This cabinet is partly under the sink, but then also goes further left. I gave my cabinetmaker the specs for the sink and explained what I wanted, and he was able to make this happen. He understood I did not want all that empty space below. If you were planning on using the rack/storage system for the accessories, this will prevent you from doing that. The hooks from which it hangs are under the drainboard side. I don't use that. You can see in this picture that the sides of the knife drawer are lower than normal. I could not use the knife block he made for that drawer because it propped my knives up too high. This was one I already had. Another thing to remember if you do this--I have a Never MT on my soap dispenser. And you can see that is at the back of the knife drawer. There can be an issue with it getting caught, but it only happened once when I was setting it up. I would suggest that the top drawer is not the typical length, mine is a bit shorter, but make it even shorter so there is enough room for your knives but it will allow enough room back there for things hanging down through counter if you go that way. I've been using my Stages 45 for a couple of weeks now. I bought a dark chrome dish drainer (at Target) which fits in the shelf section perfectly. My Delta Leland faucet in brilliance stainless is centered on the deep basin. This means it isn't centered precisely in the middle of the window, but I don't think anyone will ever notice that. The pull-down works fine and reaches all areas of the sink. I'm not too crazy about trying to keep the sink "clean looking," but it's slowly getting some patina to it so isn't bothering me as much as it did the first few days. I love the grate at the bottom of the sink. Overall, I'm very pleased with the Stages 45. I haven't even used all the accessories yet, we're sort of camping out with no furniture right now so cooking complicated meals is not happening. I bought an Insinkerator Septic Assist disposal and it's a nice fit. I added the "silver saver" stopper (bought separately) to keep spoons from sliding down the drain, it works very well.

Yes, when I say it started with the sink, I did mean it quite literally. The first thing that bothered me about our kitchen when we moved in was the sink. But if you replace the sink, you really need to replace the counters and the faucet, and it would be a good time to replace the dishwasher. If you are going to replace the counters, then you might as well think about making any other changes... which lead to moving the range and adding a cabinet, and so it goes. I think the other thing about a sink is that it's something that you use all the time. Constantly. It seems like everything in a kitchen revolves around the sink. And that's probably why if you have room, two sinks are a good idea. But I will be happy just to get this one large sink installed. And I hope by starting with it, everything else will fall into place.

crl, have you posted your reveal yet? I thought it was really clever and innovative for you to put your faucets on the sides of your sink and am glad to hear that is working well for you. Would love to see what that looks like. sahai5, I think I was just lucky with the pricing- just happened to look on the right day. When I told my brother about it the next week and he went to buy it, it was back up to the regular price but it looks like it is even more expensive now. I thought for sure that HD would tell me that it was a pricing error and cancel the order but the order came in without issue so just lucky I think. As I said, it is worth the full price now that I have seen the utility of it. Not sure exactly where my expandable metal colander came from, it;s at least a decade old, but there is a very similar one at Ikea also. Ikea metal colander I have 5 toe kick drawers in my kitchen- all well used. They are shown in my final reveal (scroll down the many pictures to see the ones with all the drawers open). scrappy25 reveal part 4 I think that crl has amply anwered your other questions. There are so many people on this forum that I learned from and so many pictures that I clipped to show my cabinetmaker. The search function is a gold mine and will probably bring up loads of Stages 45 and Stages 33 sinks to look at. Most have one faucet but for people like crl and I, the Stages 45 with 2 faucets creates the functionality of having 2 sinks when the layout or kitchen size does not allow for 2 sinks. HTH
