Kohler Stages 33 Sink in Island Question
Comments (12)I actually find the work side, for me, is the cutting board side. A quick rinse, wash and up it goes to the cutting board. I suppose having more space on both sides is ideal but I didn't want the sink in the middle of the island . Having a long unbroken run of counter on the island was more appealing to me than having lots of counter space on both sides of the sink. The sink is in a 36" cabinet and there is 4" of filler beside the sink. This with the counter overhang gives just over 7" of counter on the short side of the sink. As much as the stages sink is wonderful, I have to say the Karbon faucet is that much better and is so functionaal especially with the sink. Hope the pics help!...See MoreKohler Stages owners -- please help!

Comments (23)Will yours be installed in an island or on the perimeter? Our problem had to do with the fittings that screw onto the faucet and faucet controller under the sink. My DH had difficulty with the install as it was so tight. Be sure to give your contractor the specs/instructions for all of the fixtures now so he can design accordingly. This picture shows the reinforced back edge of cabinet and routed edge for sink. I wish we put holes where we originally planned, between top ledge of cabinet and the reinforced area where you see the circles drawn. We were so close to the back of the cabinet it made the install very difficult. I was not able to get shots during the install as my DH was verrry frustrated. He likes it now that it is way behind him. ;) Here is the underside showing the hole for the air switch. We should have moved the holes about an inch toward the sink. Hope this helps! Comments (0)Do you find that the integrated cutting board is sufficient for most of your daily prep work, or do you use another cutting board adjacent to the integrated one? Deciding on countertop height for my island (where my prep will be), and wondering if I will need my typical 1.5" Boos block cutting board (if so, my island height needs to be shorter) or if the integrated cutting board will be enough. Thanks in advance for your input!...See Morescrappy25
