I hesitate to say the name of what I seek
Comments (14)Glad I caught up on this thread tonight instead of while I was drinking my morning cuppa hot coffee.....hehehehehe... about what I expected, but top notch, top drawer. HH, I'm not familiar with the HostaFinder, but will check for it. I've emailed the second person on the registration, Lehtola at AHS, which is another route perhaps. I like the hosta, like the name, and I like the back story as well. But, I gather no one is growing it in the garden at this time? Strange that such a hotty is not widely available. Maybe it's the name which off-puts some folks? :)...See MoreI knew I should have said 'no'. ( s ) Live Update
Comments (7)Hi owbist, Thanks for your note. I must say I would have no idea how to make changes to the BIOS...and only a vague idea of even how to find it. :) This morning everything still seems normal. I was reading your message and did a search via the START button for "live update" to see if I could see what is different, if anything. My notebook when into sleep mode and when I pressed the button to wake it up, there was a window titled: ASUS Eee LiveUpdate. There are tabs at the side for Update, Event, History, Configuration, Setting, Help and About. I clicked on the History tab and there is one entry that has three headings....File Name, Version and Size File name: 1005HA BIOS Version: 0905 Size 389.3KB At the bottom it gives me the option of two buttons...Remove and Exit. When I clicked Update, it says "Update complete! There are no new updates. Last update 2009/12/8 So, maybe when I chose do the "Live Update" yesterday, it installed the LiveUpdate program and I'll get periodic reports? I have googled ASUS Eee 1005H + Live Update and find very little. So, whatever I did, it does seem to be all right at the moment and I will watch for any messages about fan speed, heat problems or anything else that looks odd. Many thanks again. Pam p.s. As I'm writing this note, I keep looking for things online and I came across this at Asus Eee PC 1005HA The unofficial blog for Asus Eee PC 1005HA New Asus Eee PC 1005HA BIOS Friday, September 25, 2009 Asus releases the new BIOS version of Asus Eee PC 1005HA supported for Linux, Windows XP and Windows 7 that will be launched on October 22. The latest BIOS version, BIOS 0905, will improve battery performance of Asus Eee PC 1005HA. Link for download the file : Asus Eee PC 1005HA BIOS 0905 Remark: You can use Asus Update, a utility that allow you to manage, save, and update the Eee PC BIOS in MS Windows Environment, to update the BIOS through a BIOS file and see the procedure in Asus Eee PC 1005HA UserÂs Manual on page 3-3. Comments (22)Hi Muddbelly, Sorry to hijack here saphire, but Dave - where do you think rates will be after those 2-3 years (say late 2009)? Well... while my crystal ball is a little foggy, and I let the insurance on it lapse..... I believe that mortgage interest rates are going to remain flat, within a range of roughly 1/2% of where they are today, for a long, long time. If you have 5% for another 28 months, I would recommend leaving that alone, and making hay while the sun shines by aggressively stuffing every additional discretionary dollar you can into your tax-deferred and tax-free retirement vehicles. Hi Cmarlin, (I think you jumped threads (this is from elsewhere, no?...) but I'll answer here nonetheless.) I am also considering buying a 4 unit bldg (not owner occupied) I also do not have verifiable income. I live on investments, so there is a history, but I do not have much income on my tax returns. OK, you need to qualify using a special program process called "Self-Employed Investor, Stated Income." Does the lender look at the bldg as they do on larger multi-family, will the rate be better if I do not go above a four unit as opposed to a larger mix. Yes... both rates and terms are preferential at a 4-unit level than at 5+ units. I have good Ficos and about 50% down. Will I have a problem getting a mortgage? You shouldn't... at 50% down it ought to fly through OK. Cheers, Dave Donhoff Strategic Equity & Mortgage Planner...See MoreI am wondering what color of rug I should use
