The ride begins bright and early on Monday, pack the gear and load it on the truck, small breakfast, and hit the road. The western end of the trail is a prairie restoration area and there are a lot of open sunny areas, farms, and wild life. We found Bonnie trying to encourage one fellow out of the trail for his safety.

The Windsor rest stop was sponsored by the local Boy Scout troup and they did a great job helping with bike repair, handing out snacks and giving tours of the Bicentennial Caboose. Then on to Green Ridge. The high point of the trail is not far past the Windsor trail head.

Quick stop at Green Ridge, then on to Sedalia. The Depot in Sedalia is beautiful. It is located right by the trail and contains a railroad museum and bike shop. The grounds are beautiful and contain some lovely sculptures. The city had vendors set up selling lots of goodies for our lunch, then we rode through the little town to Liberty Park to set up our tent. They provided passes to the pool and water park, which we used, of course.

(can't add any more pics, so there will be a part 2)
