Oh, GLASSH: My DD and I go shopping in the Frisco mall. Going to Carrollton Sat. for our annual family/friends Easter egg hunt. Was planned here but DD#1 has to work. Yep - we adults w/our little Easter baskets - wandering around her gardens looking for four dozen eggs.

I have a friend of 40 years, who moved from Olympia, Washington, to Brownsville, a few short years ago.
she goes to South Padre Island a lot, on missions.

We're doing the Easter thing on Saturday and I'm going to get to see my great grandson who is 5, almost 6.

BAMA: Was in Tyler last Friday for the annual quilt show, Azalea trails and racing through my favorite antique/flea market stores. I LOVE TYLER, and wouldn't miss the Q show, and the Azaleas - used to live in Jacksonville, and Tyler was where I shopped. I hope N.C. is as beautiful as Tyler.

Lilym how sweet of you to ask. Most of my family still lives in Queens. I have a sister that lives upstate NY, a brother in NJ, another brother living in Austin, and my youngest brother lives in CA though I think he'd like to move back to Atlanta some day. I miss 'home' everyday but it doesn't feel all that far away when I'm on these forums chatting away with the best group of people I've ever met! You've all become my friends and I cherish every single one of you. (Am I sounding a bit sappy? sniff sniff... LOL)

Hi Kathy. I'm in north central Arkansas, but my best friend from college lived in Trout Lake for a time, and still has relatives there I think. Her name is Gayle (last name was Yerkey). I don't know her relatives names, they were her mom's family. I'm still in touch with her, I could ask.

I'm just thinking of a wonderful Stained glass get together we had about 5 years ago . We were mostly strangers - we knew each other from the intenet . One lady co ordinated it all and we got together and was - honestly- the best vacation I ever had.

Hey Gardener64, Errol not far from Loudon? If I'm thinking right, there was a dirt track in Errol called "Stars" I raced a car there once! used to be great fun on Halloween night.

loudon.nh-lived there when i was growing up.moved north to north stratford,nh and in the general vicinity of errol. towns are small and everyone within 100 miles is considered a neighbor there.race track in loudon which is in central nh is nascar now i think. big time races. yup--small world...barb

If there are groups that could arrange a workshop get-together, it would be soooo enjoyable. The experience ROSIE and I had w/CALAM and KLINGER in P.V. was so wonderful. I'm going again next year, and so hope some of you w/join me there. At this point, I think it'll be Michael de Meng's workshop on assemblages. He's big on shrines, and I so want to learn some of his techniques. A get-together sounds fab.

Gardener, YES EPPING that was it, halloween howler... gosh that bring back memories. They had a powder puff race for ladies in which our buddy let me run his car (that he had hauled all the way from Nantucket) I was so nervous that I would wreck it before he ever got to race! lol
