Comments (9)I don't have an "edit" refresh, print , Norton or even a clock on this computer. Windows 8 touchscreen which works sometimes but you can't sign in by touching if you use anything in way of numbers. I think they need to work on it. In mean time Microsoft gave a notice on the corner of email that "feel free to pick another email program"(I thought Microsoft were people that invented most of this computer stuff. And if Windows 8 email program doesn't work, go back to last 1 that did work. They said they were working on the problem!! Garden web takes up 10 1/2 in/ of my 20 in across screen so feels like it's very small. When I take my hand on screen & spread thumb & 2nd fingers apart the pics enlarge but often you get blur if you try to go very big. Nice gift from my kids but will have to get 12 yr old GS over here to help me out as he is only other 1 that has 1. I emailed homemade strawberry cupcakes to myself as no way to print them off. That way I know where they are & can write down the recipe so I don't lose it. No way to bookmark anything either. Seems like going backward with no bars at top & bottom & sure miss the clock. It was always in lower right hand corner & next to Norton so you knew if you were in good shape. Crafty gardener is there an "edit" feature on the keyboard? Oh yes, it's wireless so you have to turn it over(to turn off) along with mouse so the batteries don't run down. Tech stuff is getting to be more work all the time!! Maybe it's just me! Comments (100)Morning all, It is a beautiful, crisp, clear, blue sky day here. Finally some sunshine and I can tell that the days are getting longer. The other good news is that my tight blue jeans are just a little bit looser this morning. (I'm not planning on getting back on the scale until they fit)I thought if I saw the scale do something obscene, like be ten pounds heavier than the last time I got on it I'd have to kill myself. Anyway, I just finished rearranging my music on my new MP3 player that Doug bought me for Christmas and I'm going to rock and roll at the gym this morning. We've got a list a mile long of things to accomplish today and I'm just feeling like playing on my computer a bit longer so here I am. Monique! How fun is that. So happy you got your package too. What do you think about those mouse pads??? How neat is that? I thought you could use one and Les could use one. BTW, do you still have that fuchsia? I MUST have some of that so I can recreate that fabu combo next summer. Sue, Monique, Martie, Wendy, Chelone and anyone else interested, I'm going to plan for our annual Febuary Idyll get together. Is there any weekend that is better or worse for any of you???? I think Cynthia and GB should fly in for this also. (Wouldn't that be a blast?) MHT is such a short distance you could fly in and out on the same day if you wanted to or stay whichever worked the best. Michelle, how is that cold doing today??? Have you ever tried Zicam? I've used it for a couple years now and it really does work. If you start using it at the first symptoms of a cold it shortens the duration and lessens the symptoms of the URI. I've not been sick more than three days with cold since I started using that. Cynthia, good grief, aren't you feeding those furbies? They were so hungry they had to do a pantry raid in the middle of the night? Seriously, it's a good thing you heard the crash or you'd have had some sick puppies in the AM. Jerri, love, love, love the wolves story. Perfect! Thans for sharing that. Okie Dokie, I've got to get to the gym to try out that new workout music. Have a terrific Saturday everyone. Deanne PS Just for the record I really prefer birthdays on the Idyll thread but majority rules....See MoreNorway Spruce - weird growth formation
Comments (9)Chester, Find the very strongest leader at the top and remove any shoots (not many!) that have any potential to become a leader. This spring I disfigured a Black Hills spruce because I could find two leaders which made--up 1/2 of each side of the tree however I could find branches after I removed an entire half to keep the tree on even kiel. Other prior nurserymen shaped this tree each year to make it become more full. Yes, this was a big-box store purchase but one my mother brought to me last fall. I'll be it took me a good 45 minutes to sort through the branching habits to make a successful tree out of it. It was a bonsai project no doubt. I'll be when I put those pruners away I had removed a potential of five or 10 new limbs that could have forked. It's a great tree now because I guess I know what I'm doing. To add photos here: >>>>>>>> you need the "HTML Code" of a photo you uploaded to a free website such as Photobucket.com or Picasso or whatever. I'll bet 90% of the public uses Photobucket at GW. When you get to your photos being uploaded and after you've created an album or multiple albums you'll see (4) LINES OF CODES below Every Photo, choose the third one. Left click the mouse until it turns blue then right click and choose copy. Then paste that info right here in this box I'm typing in right now >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>insert here for example>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dax...See MoreNEW: Secret Santa Seed Swap Wish lists only !
