I dreamed for years regarding my strawberry plant crawling into my window, it was sending out runners, I now have French Strawberry plants. It not growing like a vine to me, it is growing too straight.The leaves do remind me a plants that I do have, and I just saw the seeds for the first time Mon. so perhaps? Well, it's been a while since this post and I lost one of my plants. But... I finally found out what it was that turned them yellow. I started looking REALLY close to the plants... examining them very carefully. I discovered, right under the fine white hairs at the base of each areole, under the smaller spines were scale insects! The little buggers were living under just about every areole! They sucked one completely dry and almost killed the second. As it stands, I cut the top off the survivor (just in case), sprayed it really good every other day and did the same to the bottom half. The top half has turned green again and is growing and the bottom half is still a bit yellow, but is turning greener. When in doubt... look harder!

We have a hyper quarter horse named Dakota out of the famous Docs Bar quarter horse and she spooks EASILY!!! We must keep blinders on her when she is ridden as she sees everything in her peripherial vision and it spooks her, wheras Jack, our older gelden out of Two Eyed Jack is as calm as can be. Steady, sure. What you call an honest horse. BUT...he would never stand for blinders. He is fine and comfortable without them. All our horses that are out of Two Eyed Jack are just good honest horses and smart as a whip. We only have one out of Docs Bar...we sold the rest. For the most part our horses are kept in a stable and we have no need for blankets except on rare ocassions. Fly mask is what we use for our horses. This is what it looks like. Is this what you are talking about? Also, we use ShooFly insecticide for the flies also in Stable. Yep, everyone loves a horse question just like a cat question or dog question. Maybe we just love animal questions and nature questions on this website...That is what brings us all here. (;-)

Thank you for your nice comments ! I love Olga's plants and am working on collecting them all......( 18 so far). Some I know I will never get, but ....... I have a huge property, but no time, so Hosta seemed a smart thing to plant. Then I was enabled and now.......I have more gardens than ever. I collect big ones, so even my spaces are filling up. I keep telling hubby that I am just making it easier for him to mow grass by expanding the beds from under the trees, LOL.
